October Favourites!

So today is the first of November meaning October has passed us, so I though I would let you know what I've been loving for the past 31 days!!

Firstly is a hand cream by soap and glory! Its called "Hand Food" and I LOVE IT! Soap and glory is a really great company and I love all of their products, but this one really stood out to me. I get quite dry hands and so using this every now and then really moisturises my hands and makes them smell and feel amazing! I don't quite know the price of this as I got mine as a gift but I'm sure you can find it in super drug etc.

Secondly, ripped jeans from new look. Ripped jeans automatically make me very happy inside but the ones from new look make my heart explode. They are ultra soft, lovely rip, and you can wear them at this time of year with literally anything and you will, guaranteed, look amazing! If you are looking for some ripped jeans, I recommend New Look. I think I paid £18.00 for mine but they are insanely good!

Thirdly, at this time of year (Autumn-Winter) you need warmth and what says warm and cosy more than a blanket. I have absolutely been loving my blanket from primark. They are SO soft and warm and snuggly and just the right size to wrap yourself up nice and cosy in. I am pretty sure they were £6-8 which is very good for such an amazing blanket!

And lastly this month, I have been loving is Hot chocolate and specifically Galaxy! I love galaxy chocolate anyway because it just melts in your mouth. The hot chocolate however is a whole other story. Its A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! As it's getting colder and your searching for a warm drink, try this and i can almost guarantee you won't be disappointed!

I hope you all have a very Happy November! And I don't know about you, but it's starting to smell like Christmas to me!

Comparing Yourself To Others

So when people compare themselves to others it really bugs me.
Everyone is different. Everyone has their own individual talents. Everyone has their own beauty. Everyone has their own intelligence. Not two people on this planet are the same. To compare yourself to someone as you view "better than you", in my eyes, is to disrespect yourself. Respecting ourselves can sometimes involve hard choices about what to do and what not to do. Respecting ourselves means to make the right decision for YOU.
I hate being compared to someone in a different class, or group. I am me. I do things my way. I can dance and sing at the same time; yes. I can do all of my chemical equations in physics; no. But that doesn't make me any less worth someone who can do all of their chemical equations in physics. But they probably can't sing and dance well. Every single one of us has different talents. We should not look down on ourselves because Paul in the other group can do something I can't.
Sheila at school said I'm uglier than her, don't listen to Sheila - you're beautiful.
Harry at my football club said I should go to a different team because I'm rubbish at dribbling - you go to whichever team you like, you're awesome.
We should not judge ourselves by listening to how other people compare us. We are all different and the sooner some people learn to accept that, the better.

You stay you because in my eyes, you're perfect

Halloween Essentials!

Its Halloween next week (much excite!) so I thought I would let you know what my essentials are at this festive time of year!

Decorations:
So first probably comes the pumpkins because what is Halloween without a couple of good pumpkins. When I carve my own pumpkins, I go with a classic triangle-eyes-scary-mouth kinda look but there are so many things you can do with pumpkins. Also this year I have a plastic light up one to put at my door, kids wont burn themselves on it, the candle wont melt out etc.
Also at Halloween I feel bunting and table decorations are literally the cutest! Cute "Happy Halloween!" bunting makes me so happy inside. People put up fake cobwebs, spiders, ghosts and I just find it all so exciting! Table decorations are also the cutest. Check out Zoella's carving pumpkin video to see what I mean.

Costumes:
Probably one of the most enjoyable things about Halloween is being able to dress up. Costumes for Halloween range so much, you can literally be anything. Personally I'm a witch every time but the freedom is there to be anything you want. Ghost, zombie, witch, cat, LITERALLY ANYTHING. Some peoples make up 100% makes their outfits. How some people do such amazing make up is beyond me! So costumes and dressing up is ABSOLUTELY essential for a great Halloween!

Music:
Another essential of Halloween is having a great playlist for that fun night in, party or trick or treating. My playlist would include:
  • This is Halloween - The Nightmare before Christmas
  • Thriller - Michael Jackson
  • I Put a Spell on You - Hocus Pocus
  • Ghostbusters Theme
  • Time Warp - Rocky Horror Show
Just a few amazing spooky tunes to get your celebrations going!

So I hope this post helps you to get ready for the perfect Halloween, let me know if you would like this type of post for other occasions!

Being More Aware of Cancer

So this week something hit me, real hard (metaphorically speaking!). And I will try to discuss it the best I can here.
If any of you are big SprinkleOfGlitter fans you have probably seen one of her recent uploads - "My Pink Hair Story" and this is what hit me hard. (If you haven't seen it click the photo below)

In Louise's video she talks about why she died her hair pink and how Cancer took her mums life. I admire Louise for being able to post something like this on the Internet and stay so positive, but this isn't what hit me.
What hit me is that I will never never meet my Grandad. I never have, and I never will because he was also taken by Cancer. Family has such an effect on our lives and to never be able to meet one of them hurts, unexplainably. I will never hear my grandad's laugh, or see his smile, or give him a hug because the stupid disease thought it was okay to take him from me and my family. He died before I was born so I have never met him and I never will. But I'm not asking for your sympathy and there are many people out there just like me.
What I am asking is that you try and donate all you can to finding a cure for cancer. When my Grandad passed things were not as advanced as they are now and he would have more chance of surviving. So by donating you can help people like me, to no longer exist. Help find the cure to cancer!

Autumn is here!

So as I am sat here with a hot chocolate listening to the vamps new single (eek!), it hit me that it is now autumn and that makes me very happy! So this week I thought I would talk about things that make autumn my favourite season of the year!

So firstly, the arrival of autumn means hot drinks and especially - hot chocolate! Hot chocolate is something that I obsess over during autumn. Hot chocolate just has a very cosy feel, agreed? So I highly recommend you drink hot chocolate this year!!!

Another autumnal thing that I LOVE is blankets and fairy lights, like oh my gosh does it get more cute and fun than that! I think not. There is something very autumnal about snuggling up in blankets with friends or that special someone, sticking on the fairy lights and watching a film, being all cosy!

Then there;s the over sized jumpers, cute scarf's and just being allowed to dress comfy. I always associate cute big comfy jumpers with autumn. Wearing cute ankle boots and wrapping up in a scarf! So basically, I love the "fashion" during autumn.

And then there's Halloween! And while in my house, my parents refuse to go madly extravagant on the decorations, when I live alone my house will become a place of scrumptious Halloween-ness! I love the pumpkins, and the candles, and everything Halloween! FYI I am majorly into decorating places for all events, I just love it! So for me Halloween is bringing much excitement to my life right now!
And lastly, the colours of Autumn bring me so much happiness. The reds, the oranges, the browns. The colours of autumn are just gorgeous!
So I hope that you all have a great October and October means we are one month closer to Christmas :)
Until Next Time, M x

A Weekend In Kent

So two weeks ago (I think!) I went away to Margate with the family and this week I thought I would give you a little insight into the couple of days spent by the sea!

The Friday that we went away was at first like a normal day for all of us, parents at work and my brother and I at school. We drove down to Margate in the afternoon, Leaving at around 4 to get there at about 6:30. We stayed in an old Georgian House that had been split into three different apartments. Ours being at the very top with the best view of the beach on our doorstep! That night we walked around the sea front and went into a quiet pub for some dinner to then return home for a good nights rest!

On the Saturday we visited a theme park in Margate called "Dreamland". It was the first ever theme park in the UK and was built during the 1950's (I think!). The place was AMAZING! I have never visited a place so interesting. Although I am not a big fan of roller coasters or rides or anything like that the place was full of things to do, watch and see. There was an amazing high dive show, people dressed like they were in the 50's, and just an all round good, happy and exciting atmosphere! The place was simply so much fun with things to from ages small - BIG. If you're ever in the area of Margate I recommend the trip because it was such a fun day out!

The cutest and most colourful coffee cups ever!

Deckchairs!
On the Sunday, Unfortunately it was time to return home however we took a visit to an art gallery in the morning which contained some rather strange pieces! There was an exhibition of professional artists work and then an exhibition for amateurs. The second exhibition was my favourite, The pieces of art done by people my age was really rather inspiring! We walked around the "lanes" of shops that were hidden away, ate lunch in the CUTEST cafe ever and then set off on the journey home!

I hope you enjoyed this mini (but quite big) recount of my weekend away but it was absolutely lovely for me to remember all the things I got up to with my wonderful family!

Until Next Time x

Back to School 2015!

So majority of people in the UK are now back at school so I thought I would tell you a few things that I have done to make going back to school a little bit easier!

Firstly, BUY NEW STATIONERY! Doing this makes me slightly excited to go back to school. I seem to absolutely love buying new stationery, I don't know why but there's just something exciting about it. So if you haven't already, I recommend you go out and refill your pencil cases for the new start! Pens, Pencils, Folders anything to make your school bag slightly more snazzy than your friends!

Secondly, DON'T STRESS. I know so many people who stress over going back to school, Please Don't. My friend hates going back to school because of the people there or the work she has to do, at the end of the day school is not the be all and all. Stressing over school will not improve your grades or change the people you have to share the school experience with so try and have a more positive outlook on school. Go in, Do your best, Work hard and try and enjoy after all you have to stay in some form of education until you're 18!

Thirdly, HAVE SOME ME TIME! Don't spend all your waking hours doing school work. Once you come home from school it's your own time. Yes, do your homework but don't let homework rule your life. Each piece of homework should only take half an hour or so. Give yourself time to do things you enjoy. Pamper yourself, go out with the friends, indulge yourself!

So I hope that those three things will help going back to school slightly easier and if you have any questions or things that you do to make it easier comment them below because I'd love to know!
Until Next Time, M xx

August Shopping Haul!

So yesterday I was in Town with one of my friends and I may have splashed some cash, so I thought I would show you here just what I bought! Some of the products may be hard to show as a lot of shopping was done in places like Primark and Wilkinsons! Enjoy!

Paperchase:

The main thing I bought in paperchase was a July 2015 - July 2016 diary because I decided I wanted to become more organised with my life! When I go back to school in a few days I will be starting my GCSEs so I want to try and plan things out ahead of me to allow myself time for working and fun stuff. The diary shown here which I bought was priced at £7.50 which may sound expensive but is insanely good quality.

H&M:
In this store I purchased a Jersey Top. The fabric is soooooo comfy to wear, it can either be a casual top or can be glammed up. The black stripes which you can see on the image are slightly see through, translucent sort of! The top was priced at £9.99 and I absolutely 100% recommend it because of how lovely its made.
Buy Here

Wilkinsons:
So in this store I splurged the cash slightly :). If you've never been in a wilkinsons before I recommend you make a trip there. Everything in this store is such good quality and for the smallest price! In this store I bought 9 items so here goes: (instead of putting a picture to each item, I have attached links to all products)
School Pencil Case:
Helix Ruler Oxford Foldable: £1.25
Wilko Retractable ball pens (pack of 5): £0.75
Staedtler HB Pencils (pack of 5): £1.60
Wilko Pencil Sharpener and Eraser: £0.35
Inkjoys Pens (pack of 8): £3.00

Wilko Dry Shampoo Brunette: £0.95
Wilko Varsity Message Board: £2.00

WHSmiths:
Orange & Pink spotty Pencil case: £4.49
Its a lovely spacious pencil case. It holds all my items perfectly and is very sturdy. Highly recommend. It has a gorgeous pattern on the outside as well, very appealing to the eye.
Buy Here

Primark:
I also went into Primark, and as you may know Primark don't have a website showing their products (that makes me very sad) so I will try and find images of the two products purchased in here.
Firstly I purchased a lovely lovely handbag. It is a range of neutral colours on the outside and has a beige lining inside. The space inside is very roomy and perfect size for what I take out with me. There is one zip pocket, a phone slot and a slightly bigger slot to place items in aswell as the main body of the bag. There is also a very small zip section on the front of the bag. I'm absolutely in love with it already. It has a short handle option and a long handle option! Priced at £10.00, I LOVE! (excuse the bad picture taken by me)

Secondly I bought a grey dress. When looking at the dress it has a very autumn look baout it and feels lovely when on. The neck is similar to a turtle neck but not as tight or high up round the chin. I don't have a picture for this one unfortunately but the dress was also priced at £10.00 and I am, too, in love with that.

So, yes I did spend probably too much whilst out yesterday! I also bought my first bag of the new Haribo range 'Tangfastics - Frenzy Edition' and my only opinion on them is that the original flavours are much much nicer! I hope you enjoyed this type of post and let me know below if you did enjoy it!

Answering Your Questions!

So this week I thought I would do a Question and answer style post. So I asked my instagram followers for some questions and here they are!

What country are you from?
I am from the UK, where it rains mostly everyday - like it is right now!

If you were stuck on a desert island and you could take one person who would it be and why?
Ooooh, I would probably take James McVey because then he would have no choice but to talk to me and if we died there I would be a very happy girl!

Would you rather be able to speak every language in the world or speak to dogs?
I would have to say every language in the world, because I am not a huge fan of dogs (sorry!) and I don't have a dog. So every language in the world would help me a lot more than dog!

How old are you?
I am 14 years young.

What's your favourite group and singer?
My favourite group of pretty looking singing people would have to be The Vamps because just their perfect in every single way! And my favourite singer is probably Taylor Swift or Ed Sheeran because their both absolutely amazing at what they do!

Can you speak French?
Yes! I am actually taking French GCSE so I can speak some French yes!

How did you find out about The Vamps?
Well 2 years ago I was sat on my sofa catching up on Friday Download and The Vamps came on and I was like "well they're pretty cool" and it escalated from there!

Would you rather be able to speak to animals or read peoples minds?
Read peoples minds! Because then you could tell if people were lying to you and I could eliminate all bad people from my life!

Do you want/have any pets?
Unfortunately I don't have any pets :( But I would really like a cat or a bearded dragon!

What/who are your favourite vamps fan accounts(instagram)?
This is such a hard question to answer because I love loads of accounts! I love my friend @boilinghotbrad and the three girlie's who asked most of these questions: @chamcvey, @tiderandthevamps, @blueberrymcvey. But I love every single one of my followers!

What is your battery percent right now?
On my phone it is at 36%

Thank you for the wonderful questions you've all sent to me!

Apologies

So over the summer my posts have been, well there haven't been any over the summer. This is mainly because of the hectic summer I have had! And now it has just clicked that I'm back to school in two weeks, yay.
The only current way of updating my blog is through my iPod as my laptop will not work so that also slows down the process.
This post is a little apology for the lack of posts but they will soon be up and running again.

Taking Risks

I hope you're all having a great start to your half term, if you're in the UK. If not in the UK I hope you are having a great time anyway! This week I am gonna write about taking "risks" and when i say this I don't mean "Try climbing Mount Everest alone" or plaything like that, I simply going slightly out of our comfort zone in our day to day lives.

This past week I have found out a lot about myself by taking one tiny risk. This risk was to tell the person I "fancy" that it is indeed them I "fancy" ( I put fancy in quotation marks because its a really weird way of putting things!). I didn't want to tell this person in fear of them hating me or ignoring me or even getting angry at me, because they're the things that circle in my head. However he did none of these things and simply said he sorta feels the same way but wouldn't want to date at this age in his own fear of ruining our friendship. This meant a lot to me because he cares so much about the strong friendship we have he would never want to ruin that. He told me things about myself which I thought were flaws that he loved and so by taking this one risk we have been bought closer together.

I guess that my whole point is that, even if it's like once a week, if we step outside of our comfort zone and do something we wouldn't usually do we may just surprise ourselves, so why don't you give it a go?

  • Tell someone how you feel
  • Do an extra piece of work
  • Anything you are slightly afraid to do!
And let me know all about it in the comments!

Until Next Time xxx

Girl Online

So I hope you have all had a good week! And as its Sunday here I am with a new upload for you! This week I thought I would do a book review as its a little different and the author is someone who is a slight inspiration to me! Girl Online by Zoe Sugg aka Zoella, is the book I am currently reading and although I am only 3/4 of the way through it, This is the book I shall review here. And sorry if there are any spoilers! ;)

Under the alias Girl Online, Penny blogs her hidden feelings about friendship, boys, her crazy family and the panic attacks that have begun to take over her life. When things go from bad to worse, her family whisks her away to New York, where she meets Noah: a gorgeous, guitar-strumming American. Suddenly Penny is falling in love - and capturing every moment of it on her blog.

But Noah has a secret too. One that threatens to ruin Penny's cover - and her closest friendship - forever.

So firstly the above is the blurb of the book to give you an idea of the story line. The introduction is really enticing and you want to read on. In Penny's blog posts you get a real idea of what its like living with Anxiety and regular panic attacks which links to the author Zoe as she also experiences these. At first it appears as though the rest of Penny's life will be a constant nightmare of embarrassment. But things look up when she plucks up the courage to go to New York with her best friend and her parents.

The book is written very cleverly by Zoe as you get a real insight into life with Anxiety (as said before, sorry). The book is definitely aimed more at girls as it tackles issues like boys, dating and friendships. It is layed out with some of Penny's blog posts and then the main story.

If you haven't read or bought the book I would deffo recommend buying it. It is really interesting and insightful as well. Good Job Zoe!

Vamps World Tour 2015 Experience

I can't put into words the way I felt last night (2nd May 2015) at the O2 to see The Vamps. It was flipping amazing. Words cannot do it justice! I went with my bestest friend in the whole wide world and I currently have a sore throat from all the screaming and singing!

Words cannot describe just how amazing it was, I'm getting excited thinking about it! They played all of their singles and pretty much all of their album, which is awesome! Not forgetting their support acts; Luke Friend, The Tide & Union J! Who all put on a great show!

I am in this selfie somewhere!!
A lot of people don't understand how much these guys mean to me, they mean a lot. Them and their music has the ability to lift my mood no matter how bad or good! Their all such great and talented guys and I can't describe the love I have for them because it's that big it doesn't fit into words!

I can honestly say it was the best night of my life and I won't ever forget it!

April Favourites

So as it's nearly the end of April I thought I'd blog some of my favourite things from this month! Here goes...

Clothes
H&M:
This top I purchased at the start of the month form H&M. Its a really thin material which is perfect to fling on over a bikini or a vest during summer. On the straps there are little cut out diamonds which adds a certain edge to the vest. It is so unbelievably comfortable to wear. Online it comes on a variety of colours and I will link it here.

£7.99

I also purchased a dress from H&M but cannot find it online. However I was first directed towards the dress after I saw it in SHOUT Magazine (I think...). I would take a picture but my camera isn't working!

New Look:

This Aztec print tube skirt is really really comfortable to wear. It has a beautiful pastel orange and blue pattern. I match this with a plain colour vest top because the pattern and the plain work really well but that's just me. There was also a matching off the shoulder top which would look really nice as a pair. I will leave a link to it here.

£7.99

This plain black kimono works really well with a summer outfit. The bottom has a crochet-type pattern which makes this look awesome with any outfit. You can wear with denim, pattern, absolutely anything. Also from New Look. I will link it here.

Music:
Smile - The Vamps
King - Years & Years
Sugar - Maroon 5

If you haven't heard these songs you should definitely check them out. I feel as though they have a really summery vibe!

Home:
These lights pictured are £44.89 online however I bought an almost identical set of lights from Primark at £6. They are SO cute and I have mine twirled around my bed. They are like copper Moroccan style balls. From Primark they are battery operated and can be used almost anywhere. As far as I can remember there were 20 in the box. I for looking for any fairy lights I recommend having a peep in Primark!

I have just realised this is a pretty long post so I'll leave it there!
Until next time xxx

P.S. Please let me know if you like this style of post and if you want to see it again! Please excuse the font my I really struggled whilst trying to upload this one! x

Norfolk Weekend Away

Last weekend me and my family had a little weekend away in Norfolk. We stayed in a B&B which served very nice breakfast and had rather quirky rooms... We arrived on the Friday and left on the Sunday but fitted lots in. Friday included a trip to the beach and a wander around arcades.
Saturday, however included a lot more! We visited Thrigby Wildlife Gardens, a bit of a mini zoo, and had a great time, It may have been a little bit on the rainy side. After spending the morning and a little of the afternoon there we went and visited the beach again and wondered around some of the local villages, and purchasing an ice cream. Yum!

On Sunday we went to Great Yarmouth Sea life centre (The last couple of pictures) which was really fun. Big fish, little fish, tortoises, sharks, starfish, You name it they had it!(Sea creatures that is!) After, My mum and I went and sat by the sea to have some chips and a drink whilst the others played a very long Crazy Golf! And then it was time to set off home.
It was a lovely weekend away, and it was nice to get away from all the studying and revising I've been doing for exams next week.

Five Little Ways to Lift Your Mood

1. Listen to music regularly. Music that you like. Listening to music by your favourite artist is proven to make you feel better. Or listen to music with lyrics relating to you and the way you feel. This can make you realise your not the only one feeling the way you are. But listening to upbeat music will definitely help lift your mood!

2. Drink soft drinks. This could be water, fruit juice or even some fizz. Having fluids in your body can make you feel much better. When your feeling low, being dehydrated definitely won't help you feel any better. So drink!

3. Wear clothes your comfortable in. Don't try and follow the latest trends or the most expensive thing on the rail. Wear what you like and what you feel comfortable in. This can be joggers and a sweatshirt. Or a frilly skirt with a lace top! Absolutely anything! Wearing what you like is a great way to lift your mood and make you feel better about yourself.

4. Be around the ones that love you! This can be family and friends. When your feeling low you struggle to see who cares and loves for you. So take a breath and think about those who want to help you and make you feel better!

5. Dance in the rain! I don't mean literally, I mean do things that you love and that are maybe a bit out of your comfort zone. Don't let the "rain" stop you from doing things, Go right through it and do whatever you enjoy!
Until next time! x

School Work

As some of you may know, I am currently in Year 9 at school. In May I will start my GCSE Subjects, This means that each week me and my class are dumped with quite a lot of homework and revision for exams. No matter what age you are you will probably always have homework so this week I hope to help you to organise your time for school work!

The most important thing with school work is to get the right balance between working and giving yourself time to do other stuff which you enjoy! Before the school week starts have an idea in your head of the extra work you may be given each day. Use a planner or something like that to say what you will do each day. Don't tell yourself to do five one day and none the next because it will wear you down. Try to do no more than three each day. This way you leave enough time for yourself!

Obviously, I don't know how much work you are given and when the deadline is so I can't plan out your week for you. But the main message is don't overload yourself with work, Let your hair down occasionally!

And on that note, I will go and drink my hot chocolate! I would like to quickly add that there will be no update next Sunday as I am away in France but I will see you very soon!

Why I'm here

I have started up this blog so I can help other teens like me. I wish to post about many things ranging from beauty to baking. From society to music. And anything in between! I would love for people to comment things they want me to do and whether they would like videos as well. I am 14 and female so can help people the same age or younger!
See you soon!
