Taking Risks

I hope you're all having a great start to your half term, if you're in the UK. If not in the UK I hope you are having a great time anyway! This week I am gonna write about taking "risks" and when i say this I don't mean "Try climbing Mount Everest alone" or plaything like that, I simply going slightly out of our comfort zone in our day to day lives.

This past week I have found out a lot about myself by taking one tiny risk. This risk was to tell the person I "fancy" that it is indeed them I "fancy" ( I put fancy in quotation marks because its a really weird way of putting things!). I didn't want to tell this person in fear of them hating me or ignoring me or even getting angry at me, because they're the things that circle in my head. However he did none of these things and simply said he sorta feels the same way but wouldn't want to date at this age in his own fear of ruining our friendship. This meant a lot to me because he cares so much about the strong friendship we have he would never want to ruin that. He told me things about myself which I thought were flaws that he loved and so by taking this one risk we have been bought closer together.

I guess that my whole point is that, even if it's like once a week, if we step outside of our comfort zone and do something we wouldn't usually do we may just surprise ourselves, so why don't you give it a go?

  • Tell someone how you feel
  • Do an extra piece of work
  • Anything you are slightly afraid to do!
And let me know all about it in the comments!

Girl Online

So I hope you have all had a good week! And as its Sunday here I am with a new upload for you! This week I thought I would do a book review as its a little different and the author is someone who is a slight inspiration to me! Girl Online by Zoe Sugg aka Zoella, is the book I am currently reading and although I am only 3/4 of the way through it, This is the book I shall review here. And sorry if there are any spoilers! ;)

Under the alias Girl Online, Penny blogs her hidden feelings about friendship, boys, her crazy family and the panic attacks that have begun to take over her life. When things go from bad to worse, her family whisks her away to New York, where she meets Noah: a gorgeous, guitar-strumming American. Suddenly Penny is falling in love - and capturing every moment of it on her blog.

But Noah has a secret too. One that threatens to ruin Penny's cover - and her closest friendship - forever.

So firstly the above is the blurb of the book to give you an idea of the story line. The introduction is really enticing and you want to read on. In Penny's blog posts you get a real idea of what its like living with Anxiety and regular panic attacks which links to the author Zoe as she also experiences these. At first it appears as though the rest of Penny's life will be a constant nightmare of embarrassment. But things look up when she plucks up the courage to go to New York with her best friend and her parents.

The book is written very cleverly by Zoe as you get a real insight into life with Anxiety (as said before, sorry). The book is definitely aimed more at girls as it tackles issues like boys, dating and friendships. It is layed out with some of Penny's blog posts and then the main story.

If you haven't read or bought the book I would deffo recommend buying it. It is really interesting and insightful as well. Good Job Zoe!

Vamps World Tour 2015 Experience

I can't put into words the way I felt last night (2nd May 2015) at the O2 to see The Vamps. It was flipping amazing. Words cannot do it justice! I went with my bestest friend in the whole wide world and I currently have a sore throat from all the screaming and singing!

Words cannot describe just how amazing it was, I'm getting excited thinking about it! They played all of their singles and pretty much all of their album, which is awesome! Not forgetting their support acts; Luke Friend, The Tide & Union J! Who all put on a great show!

I am in this selfie somewhere!!
A lot of people don't understand how much these guys mean to me, they mean a lot. Them and their music has the ability to lift my mood no matter how bad or good! Their all such great and talented guys and I can't describe the love I have for them because it's that big it doesn't fit into words!

I can honestly say it was the best night of my life and I won't ever forget it!

April Favourites

So as it's nearly the end of April I thought I'd blog some of my favourite things from this month! Here goes...

Clothes
H&M:
This top I purchased at the start of the month form H&M. Its a really thin material which is perfect to fling on over a bikini or a vest during summer. On the straps there are little cut out diamonds which adds a certain edge to the vest. It is so unbelievably comfortable to wear. Online it comes on a variety of colours and I will link it here.

£7.99

I also purchased a dress from H&M but cannot find it online. However I was first directed towards the dress after I saw it in SHOUT Magazine (I think...). I would take a picture but my camera isn't working!

New Look:

This Aztec print tube skirt is really really comfortable to wear. It has a beautiful pastel orange and blue pattern. I match this with a plain colour vest top because the pattern and the plain work really well but that's just me. There was also a matching off the shoulder top which would look really nice as a pair. I will leave a link to it here.

£7.99

This plain black kimono works really well with a summer outfit. The bottom has a crochet-type pattern which makes this look awesome with any outfit. You can wear with denim, pattern, absolutely anything. Also from New Look. I will link it here.

Music:
Smile - The Vamps
King - Years & Years
Sugar - Maroon 5

If you haven't heard these songs you should definitely check them out. I feel as though they have a really summery vibe!

Home:
These lights pictured are £44.89 online however I bought an almost identical set of lights from Primark at £6. They are SO cute and I have mine twirled around my bed. They are like copper Moroccan style balls. From Primark they are battery operated and can be used almost anywhere. As far as I can remember there were 20 in the box. I for looking for any fairy lights I recommend having a peep in Primark!

I have just realised this is a pretty long post so I'll leave it there!
Until next time xxx

P.S. Please let me know if you like this style of post and if you want to see it again! Please excuse the font my I really struggled whilst trying to upload this one! x

Norfolk Weekend Away

Last weekend me and my family had a little weekend away in Norfolk. We stayed in a B&B which served very nice breakfast and had rather quirky rooms... We arrived on the Friday and left on the Sunday but fitted lots in. Friday included a trip to the beach and a wander around arcades.
Saturday, however included a lot more! We visited Thrigby Wildlife Gardens, a bit of a mini zoo, and had a great time, It may have been a little bit on the rainy side. After spending the morning and a little of the afternoon there we went and visited the beach again and wondered around some of the local villages, and purchasing an ice cream. Yum!

On Sunday we went to Great Yarmouth Sea life centre (The last couple of pictures) which was really fun. Big fish, little fish, tortoises, sharks, starfish, You name it they had it!(Sea creatures that is!) After, My mum and I went and sat by the sea to have some chips and a drink whilst the others played a very long Crazy Golf! And then it was time to set off home.
It was a lovely weekend away, and it was nice to get away from all the studying and revising I've been doing for exams next week.

Five Little Ways to Lift Your Mood

1. Listen to music regularly. Music that you like. Listening to music by your favourite artist is proven to make you feel better. Or listen to music with lyrics relating to you and the way you feel. This can make you realise your not the only one feeling the way you are. But listening to upbeat music will definitely help lift your mood!

2. Drink soft drinks. This could be water, fruit juice or even some fizz. Having fluids in your body can make you feel much better. When your feeling low, being dehydrated definitely won't help you feel any better. So drink!

3. Wear clothes your comfortable in. Don't try and follow the latest trends or the most expensive thing on the rail. Wear what you like and what you feel comfortable in. This can be joggers and a sweatshirt. Or a frilly skirt with a lace top! Absolutely anything! Wearing what you like is a great way to lift your mood and make you feel better about yourself.

4. Be around the ones that love you! This can be family and friends. When your feeling low you struggle to see who cares and loves for you. So take a breath and think about those who want to help you and make you feel better!

5. Dance in the rain! I don't mean literally, I mean do things that you love and that are maybe a bit out of your comfort zone. Don't let the "rain" stop you from doing things, Go right through it and do whatever you enjoy!
Until next time! x
